It’s Been A While…

Wow, has it really been that long since I’ve posted anything here? Well now’s a good of a time as ever to start blogging again.

This summer has been…well…very interesting… Unlike summers in the past, I have an extra month of break because college starts so late for me. Also, I’ve had much more free time to do things as there’s no more pressure to prepare myself for SATs and stuff like that. However, this summer has not been cheap. With the vacation to Hong Kong in the midst of high oil prices as well as all of the expenses buying stuff for college and tuition fees meant that I have probably spent well over $5000 in purchases alone. Once school actually starts, my bank account is going to be lonelier than Paul McCartney at a Beatles reunion…

As a gradution present, a family friend of mine gave me an $800 Nikon D60 to take pictures with. This is pretty much jumpstarted my photography hobby as I now finally have the ability to take better pictures and have more control of how I want something to be shot. I have taken well over 2,000 photos from my travels and several hundred more of random stuff I felt like taking pictures of.

This weekend the Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma will take place at Infineon Raceway. It will be my first time at an actual racing event despite me being a die-hard fan of motorsports. Although I don’t like to think about how I’m giving money to Tony George, it will nonetheless be an exciting oppurtunity to watch some of the best drivers in the America (screw you NASCAR fans) duke it out in what I believe is one of the toughest tracks on the calendar. I will be sure to take many pictures and post them up in order to share with all of you.

One more thing, I might be posting some pictures and a short entry of stuff I have done over the summer over the next few days, so be sure to check back for that!
